Nowadays, making haunted houses using Halloween theme has become very popular among the students. They use their creativity to make amazing décor pieces that add to the creepy looks. Most of the times reusable materials or the materials that are available in the homes are used for making the decorative pieces. Therefore, you don’t have to spend much money on Halloween decoration and you can make your classroom more exciting and interesting.

If you want to convert your classroom into a haunted house for this Halloween, you can use the following ideas:

  • Draw your students in: You can make a haunted pathway for leading the students to their classroom. You can create creepy signboards to direct the students and visitors to the spooky house created by you. Give them the first clue from where they will start like you can hang handmade spiders, flying bats, skeleton keys, bones, witch’s hat, etc.
  • Come up with a theme: Nowadays, Halloween themes are getting very popular for making the places or parties more exciting. You can choose different themes like goblins and ghosts, creatures of the night, pirates, etc. If you want to include a haunted hospital in the classroom you can hang skeletons, eyeballs, brains, hands, etc. You can put artificial spiders in the jar having hand wash.
  • Create a fearful atmosphere: Loud scary music can make the atmosphere more fearful and exciting. You can use a speaker for playing scary music and the music should be full of shrieks, cries, and moans. Decorative props can be used for creating a scary scene like coffins, tombstones, black cats, etc. You can also use a fog machine to enhance the spookiness and make kids shout in fear.
  • Make bootiful ghosts using table cloths and tomato cages: You can wear handmade costumes of the ghost using white clothes and complement with a witch’s cap. These dressed-up ghosts can stand on both sides of the doors to give a spooky greet and welcome the students.
  • Collect toilet paper rolls and make mummies: You can make pen-stand looking similar to Egyptian mummies. Take some small plastic cups and wrap the toilet paper around it to cover it properly. Use a thread to tie it all over. You can use small black and white buttons to make eyes and your small mummies are ready to scare the students.
  • Turn milk jug into ghost dustbin: Take a black marker and draw the shape of eyes, nose, and teeth on the jug. Cut the shapes out of it using a scissor. Make a hole at the bottom and put an electric light inside the jug. Lighten them up and see your small ghost dustbins are ready.
  • Turn ordinary blocks into Frankenstein heads: You can take a block or small wooden cubes and paint them in different colors. Take a permanent marker and draw a pair of eyes, a nose, a mouth, hairs and also decorate the corners to give it a cute face. You can place them on the table or you can scatter them in the classroom.
